Free Legal Aid & Human Rights
A core strength of the society: free legal counselling, rights awareness, PIL support, pensions, education help, and linkage to Kanyashree, Krishak Bandhu, Swasthya Sathi, and more.
About this program
Legal aid and rights protection are a primary focus of Birbhum Kusmore Chetona Welfare Society — not a side activity. We organise legal-awareness camps and free counselling for underprivileged people who cannot afford private advocates, provide moral and legal support in rights violations, and pursue public-interest litigation (PIL) where appropriate. Our Legal & Administrative Advisory Board — including lawyers and retired officers — guides High Court matters, Women’s Commission linkages, and coordination with government departments. Alongside justice work, we help senior citizens and widows with pension and allowance issues; connect families to schemes such as Kanyashree, Rupashree, Krishak Bandhu, Ayushman Bharat / Swasthya Sathi (WBHS); and support needy and meritorious students with learning materials in underserved areas.
